Jenna Cohen: My Mitzvah Project
By Jenna C. and Sarah K.

In honor of my recent Bat Mitzvah, I will be collecting arts and crafts supplies to support the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield, Mass. I love doing art projects and enjoy creating things. Each year I spend the whole summer in Marshfield. I have decided to connect my two communities, Stamford, Conn. and Marshfield by collecting arts and crafts supplies for the Boys and Girls Club of this small town.

The Boys and Girls Club offers a safe and reliable after-school enrichment program, which keeps, the children of the community safe and engaged after school hours. Currently, they are in need of art supplies for all ages. Please help me help the Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield, MA by bringing in new art supplies or gift cards to Target, Michaels, or Walmart that I can send along to the club to purchase necessary supplies. There will be a collection box beginning this week at Bi-Cultural Day School. I’ll be collecting through December 18th. Thank you for helping me to bring my love of art to other children.
Mitzvah projects are always good to do because they make whoever your donating to feel special. If we all do a small mitzvahs at least once a month, then it will affect people’s lives and make them feel loved — wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone experienced the joy of giving mitzvah all the time.
