Cracking the Dress Code
By: Sarah Eisenstein and Naama Teitel

Do you dread putting on uniforms every day? We have a way to spice up your outfit while following the rules. We have three tips and tricks to help you be more excited to put on your school clothes every day.

Tip #1) Wear trendy shoes:
Recently, Adidas Superstar and Stan Smith shoes have been very trendy at the moment. If you feel comfortable putting on these types of shoes, then go ahead! If you are confident enough, you can even start a trend!

Tip #2) Plan Squad Outfits:
If you’re getting bored of the same old clothes every day plan to twin with your friends! For example, one day you all wear the same hair style, shoes, or jewelry so going to school and seeing your friends will be more exciting!

Tip #3) Accessories Galore!
We know you have limits when it comes to what you wear in BCDS, but there are no limits when it comes to accessories! For example, wear hair accessories such as, bows, decorative hair ties, headbands, hair clips, even hair styles. You can also paint your nails different colors that express your personality. Another accessory that can add to your outfit is jewelry. For example, earring, necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and more!

The wonderful holiday of Purim is filled with joy, and happiness because as we all know the Jews were saved from the evil Haman! Boooooo! The holiday Purim is also a holiday where we all dress up in our favorite costume. This year we had a fabulous costume contest held by newspaper. There were amazing costumes that the newspaper class had never seen before. (Picture are posted below.) The newspaper class had an idea and they had it come to life.

The costume contest was held in the library on Friday. There was a photo booth and everybody who entered got there photo taken. The newspaper class, (Alison M. Andrew R. Robert O. Max. D Justin Mati F. Julianne K.) Was kind enough to pick a winner out of all the contestants that entered? There were five different categories of winners. Literary- Priscilla T. Daniella K. Naomi L. Shalhevet C. (Winnie the poo series.)! Celebrity- Max R.! (Clark Kent) Purim related- Emily S. (Gumball Machine)! Creative- Evan Goldblum (Mini Evan, Ventriloquist)! Sports- Leeba Z. (LeeBron)! All these costumes were incredible. The creativity that was put into these costumes were incredible. The Newspaper hopes to do this next year when they are in seventh grade. Congratulations to all the winners!
